1970s or 1990s?

[edit]

I recall them being around in the 90s, but Fyna claims they bought Riviera in the 70s.
Can anyone older than me clarify how old they are?

I have a empty packet labeled "Lolly Cigs" with the written text on the side of the packet being "Manufactured by Riviera Confectionery Co. 688 South Road, Moorabein, Victoria". Can't find much with a google on "lolly Cigs" so assume they pre-date the "lolly Fags" label? --JetTheBlackCat (talk) 12:42, 26 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Just some info for you all on 'Fags'. This was my family's business, invented and owned from the 40's till we sold in 86 to Fyna Foods. Lolly cigs were also part of the line along with Big Boss, White Puffs, Fruit Sticks, Musk Sticks and Coltsfoot Rock. I along with my siblings and cousins all worked in the factory in Moorabbin, my father was very proud of what he contributed to the confectionery industry Proudly Australian owned and made, a little Aussie icon remembered fondly by many. Now sadly made in Colombia. 2001:8003:801F:B500:7128:8AE9:834B:9F4C (talk) 03:34, 24 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
