Just a note.

I would like to stress that I did not lift the original entry from any encyclopaedia. Rather, it was one of a variety of Orkney islands for which I created articles using information from a variety of different sources. Warofdreams 10:54, 24 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Stamps

[edit]

What is the story behind the apparent issue of postage stamps for this uninhabited island? Who is making them, and why? Example 1, example 2. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō Contribs. 13:40, 25 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

It is my understanding that the concept (I won't comment on the specific examples) is one of commercial exploitation and I have removed references to them from numerous island articles. There are one or two that seem to have had a genuine use, but it is particularly absurd when the websites refer to their usage in relation to uninhabited islands.
