The article could use a clear explanation of why this pattern occurs. Also, what types of polarizer produce this pattern? I have only seen it with Glan-laser polarizers. I doubt that one would see this with two pieces of Polaroid, for example.--Srleffler (talk) 23:42, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
