Exterior Gateway Protocol is a specific protocol (proper noun). Exterior gateway protocol is a class of protocols performing a specific function. You may have overlooked the hatnotes on both articles that attempt to explain this. ~Kvng (talk) 22:51, 13 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
