[edit]Why has any reference to the origional work by Adrian Thompson and history of the field been removed? The entry gives the impression that EH is something developed solely by NASA.
The assertian that origional design of digital circuits is a dead end doesn't seem to stand up - Genetic algorithms are one amongst many design tools that can be used to design both digital and analogue circuits and they have been used sucesfully to design novel fault tolerant logic systems that out perform other synthesised design methods(Circuits that perform simple logic operations which can detect a fault in their hardware, including within the fault checking part of the circuit)

Motivations section addition?
[edit]Perhaps the article could also mention that typically, when designing something, we already have an idea of the procedure, and tend to put together components that we know will execute each step of the intended process. As humans, it's rare that we notice a simpler sequence of steps that achieves the same end when those steps as we've learned them seem to be unrelated. This is just a suggestion. I'm not familiar with the subject matter, this is just something that came to mind while I was reading the article. The keyboard logician (talk) 02:51, 22 July 2026 (UTC)
