Questions about recent changes
[edit]The page has changed considerably since last I checked it, mostly around legal controversies regarding Luxco and the dangers of the product. I have to wonder, though, if much of this wouldn't be more appropriate on the page for Rectified spirit? As this page points out, 'Everclear' is often treated as a generic name for such in the US; Everclear isn't chemically different from any other grain alcohol, so the health problems related to it aren't specific to the branded product itself. Meanwhile, the rectified spirit page doesn't cover the health issues in nearly as much detail. Someone may be under the mistaken impression that Everclear itself is somehow more dangerous, or worse, that other brands are less.
It might be more sensible, in my view, that much of the health-related information be included on the rectified spirit page with a small overview here and link to the details on this page, and keep the information here limited to controversies and issues related to Luxco and its branded Everclear (of which there are more than enough to justify keeping on the page). 174.115.209.181 (talk) 17:10, 19 October 2025 (UTC)
