possible source?

[edit]

this link is a BBC youtube Spanish Civil war film. Just before 30 mins in, it describses a miners strike in the Asturian valleys which was put down by Franco. I don't have the knowledge to do any more. JRPG (talk) 22:13, 10 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

1934

[edit]

This article should be labelled as 1934. There are so many events occurred on the 6th and I personnaly haven't heard of it... WP:LEAST--Bouzinac (talk) 19:55, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Furthermore, this article is not even referenced in October 6.--Bouzinac (talk) 19:57, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
WP:LEAST refers to a whole different thing (offensive and provocative language), so it doesn't apply here. However, about the rest, I'm looking out there and I actually see you may be right. "Events of October the 6th" (in its Catalan translation, Fets del sis d'octubre) is the title used in the Catalan wikipedia, but if you google it you get "Events of 6 October 1934". Which I think better complies with WP:NCEVENTS and WP:DATEFORMAT. Impru20 (talk) 20:07, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
Searching Google Books for Events of October 6 gives results for Catalonia, France, Thailand, Kansas and others, but these are obviously events with a small "e", i.e. forming part of a sentence and not the name of something. Searching for Fets del sis d'octubre, on the other hand, gives many results that are obviously events with a capital "E" (or "Fets" with a capital "F"), i.e. events that are referred to as such. Most of them do not add "de 1934." Adding the Catalan translation makes it clear that this is a Catalan thing, and putting the year in the first sentence and the infobox gives enough clarity on that. I am moving it to Events of 6 October. --Scolaire (talk) 18:56, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Rewrite

[edit]

I've completely rewritten the article. It was originally written as a "stub from intro of original article in catalan". I started from zero knowledge, so there may very well be stuff I got wrong and stuff I left out. Any additional edits will be welcome. Scolaire (talk) 19:02, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
