I am not arguing with the statements made in the article, but Dear Lord this page needs some sources because it is awfully POV. it reads like an Ad. Dachande 20:45, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Update to Estwing History

I am suggesting updates to the history of Estwing to give further detail on their over 100 years of making striking tools. I work for a marketing company, and Estwing is a client. I am suggesting changes, and due to the conflict of interest and request an independent editor to review and implement the changes. These are based on Estwing’s “Celebrating 100 Years” page (Estwing.com), as well as several independent sources cited below. Below is a proposed summary of content, presented in good faith for review by uninvolved editors. I understand all material must meet Wikipedia's guidelines for neutrality, notability, and verifiability.

Proposed Content Summary (with citations where available): Estwing was founded in 1923 by Swedish immigrant Ernest O. Estwing in Rockford, Illinois. The company introduced a one-piece steel hammer design integrating the head and handle, distinguishing it from other tools at the time.

In the 1930s, Estwing developed a distinctive stacked leather handle design.

During World War II, Estwing continued limited production under the War Production Board, which permitted operations despite nationwide steel rationing.

Estwing’s geology pick gained prominence when it was used by astronaut Neil Armstrong during training for the Apollo 11 mission. In 1969, a NASA training photo (S69-25944) taken in west Texas shows Armstrong holding an Estwing rock hammer while examining geological samples.
