Hello, I'm the author of a new biography of Esther Wheelwright, which will be published by Yale University Press in the fall of 2016. There are a number of errors in this wiki bio of Wheelwright, large and small. I would like to make the corrections to it this month, and cite my own book as the source. Does anyone have any objections to this?

Speculative claims

[edit]

The article contains many apparently speculative claims of the type 'it is possible that' (it is possible that her Abenaki adoptive parents treated her with extraordinary affection', it is possible that she may have practiced self-flagellation, etc.) Even though the secondary sources contain them, presumably to make the narrative more lively, I'm not sure that Wikipedia should. ~2025-31121-91 (talk) 10:52, 28 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
