The article says that the Essedarius were mounted gladiators. That is however something which is heavily disputed by historians. The sources given do not provide any kind of proof for those gladiators beeing mounted, only the fighters they were named after (which is not even an implication they did so, if you look at other gladiator-types). The website of Mr. Grout is the only reference that claims they did, without giving any kind of evidence eigther.
