Moka pots are not "espresso makers"...  Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.175.76.2 (talk) 12:15, 21 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Tag removal

[edit]

@Macktheknifeau: this is a warning. The article has entire sections, and at least half a dozen individual paragraphs, that require sourcing. The current tag is specifically made to point out such article-wide issues. Repeated removal of a long-standing, unresolved maintenance tag without good reason and without resolving the indicated issue is disruptive, damaging to the encyclopedia, and will get you reported. If you really have some deep-seated problem with the tag, make your case here, otherwise a report for edit-warring is likely to even precede that one. --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 12:42, 3 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • Your tag is irrelevant and makes no sense, and the elements you're claiming "aren't sourced" are clearly sourced within the article sources. If you're too lazy to bother doing your own research why are you aggressively defending these dumb tags? Macktheknifeau (talk) 07:01, 4 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
...there is one single sourced statement in the entire section Espresso_machine#Pump-driven (861 words). The entirety of Espresso_machine#Stove_top is unsourced, as is the second paragraph of Espresso_machine#Machine_parts. Are you honestly not seeing those, or have not yet understood that long unsourced passages area a problem in this encyclopedia? Either case is something of a disqualifier for any work with maintenance tags. Please desist. --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 08:42, 4 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Quotes on history

[edit]

The "Precursors" paragraph contains quotes that are probably from Ian Bersten's book (cited in the references) but not identified as such probably due to sloppy editing over time. There are similar issues with the second paragraph under "Early history" in the Espresso article. Someone with access to that book should double-check and attribute the quotes in both articles. ~2025-42823-04 (talk) 23:12, 24 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
