Wrong Route

The Escort Way reaches neither Parkes nor the Newell Highway. Close to Boree the Orange Road branches off to the west and ultimately reaches Parkes, whereas the Escort Way heads direction South West through Cudal, Toogong and Murga. It finishes in Eugowra.

Between Cudal (where the Canowindra Road branches off to the South) and Eugowra the Escort Way does not have any State Route number. The correct length of the whole road is 82 km.

Google maps shows Eugowra-Forbes Road as part of the Escort Way. Does anyone know of a suitable reference for Escort Way? Downsize43 (talk) 06:46, 13 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Orange to Boree (part of gazetted road 61)

With that section from the Mitchell Highway (HW7) at Orange to Main Road No 377 at Boree, named as ESCORT WAY

Boree to Forbes (part of gazetted road 377)

That section from MR 61 at Boree to MR56 at Forbes being also known as the “ESCORT WAY”
