improper misunderstood edits and inappropriate use of so-called 'male homosexual' relationship and instead use a accurately appropriate description.

Hello, i really have a long time talk page already about the article's main talk page on eromenos in the past about this, please read all the past messages and replies and also this is properly edited accurate wording to fix and improve the page to provide true information to refrain and omit the term 'male homosexual' it is a very bad and homophobic choice of wording that is verm harmful to wikipedia and i recommend to use a simplified appropriate term like sexual relations instead as goodly informed wording to avoid misinformation and to protect gay men and lgbt people in general, i knew they were not gay or lgbt at all in the fist place to begin with, ancient greece and rome don't know anything about human sexuality through sexual orientation and gender identity at all, but sex acts being involved eromenoi and erastai were never gay or lgbt to begin with in the first place and are totally and completely unrelated and unlinked to gay and lgbt people and all forms of sex acts do not at all and has and never will be counted as so-called 'evidence' of lgbt identity having sex with someone is not proof at all, PERIOD!!!, don't use misleading words and links please, thank you. hello and thank you for the reply and message, sorry for the late reading and not replying early, i was very busy on doing other things and looking information, okay and no excuses at all i promise you. by the way FYI i am sorry about this mixed-up confusion, but i hate to say this but i believe you are being the flawed person on this article, it is not just my "opinion" on it, but is actually not at all subjective but objective facts and truth based on true evidence, the using term "male homosexual" in this eromenos and erastes relationship is inherently and objectively misleading, inaccurate and inappropriate and also completely unliked and unrelated to homosexuality and their gay and lesbian identity and the general LGBT communities worldwide, using the male homosexuality and gay men addressing link edit to the other article in the eromenos wikipedia article is very bad, detrimental, harmful, toxic, and dangerous to all gay and lesbian individuals everywhere, every LGBT person and/or groups will find this information they are reading as offensively and outrageously harmful to the LGBT people and their allies and would also mislead their anti-LGBT and pro-homophobic opponents to reinforce and promote their imposing anti-gay and anti-LGBT ideas and beliefs to all the supportive and affirming human rights activists and advocates out there, all the people reading wikipedia truly deserve objective information and truthful facts and evidence, all the gays and lesbians within the LGBT communities and their supporters and champions will be painfully hurt by this false comparison of these two completely different and separate things, and will probably most likely to cause a lot of anti-LGBT and homophobic troubles in their own lives, please be understanding and try to make a perfectly comfortable and peacefully compromised true to make a properly accurate information to help everyone including the editors and administrators of wikipedia to a general consensus on this site, i really thank you for your service in being helpful, but i also want to point out and please do note that anyone out there especially the wikipedia editors, administrators and others on this site has been very helpful to the LGBT community and some are part of it and LGBT themselves i certainly do knowledge and believe they are possibly going be disagreeing with this information and, also know that i made edits to reform and correct the problematic issue on this 100 percent completely unliked and unrelated differentiating article about the eromenos and erastes to the every LGBT-related wikipedia articles out there on these things, they are not the same thing, end of story and discussion, absolutely no buts about it and PERIOD!!!, please help and educate yourself to learn not to be ignorant and biased on wikipedia okay, again thank you. How many times are you going to bring the same thing up? You have been at this issue for months on this page, Pederasty in ancient Greece, and Pederasty, multiple editors have undone your edits and attempted to discuss this with you, and all three pages are now protected (two of them indefinitely). I suggest that you read WP:BLUDGEONING and WP:DROPTHESTICK Meters (talk) 06:24, 27 December 2024 (UTC)

I propose deleting this entry

I completely disagree with using "male homosexuals" in general instead of "pederastic relationships" specifically to describe which form of male homosexuality in ancient Greece the 'eromenos' falls under, because you are trying to impose modern sensibilities on the topic of pederasty in ancient Greece.
As I said, "eromenos" was not applied to male homosexuals in general, but to pederastic relationships specifically, regardless of whether modern sensibilities find that right or wrong. To frame it as a phenomenon of male homosexuality in general because some people are uncomfortable with the FACT that adult young men and teenage boys had romantic and sexual relationships in ancient Greece is completely wrong and anachronistic for that reason, and the entry "Homosexuality in ancient Greece" makes this distinction correctly, placing the erastes/eromenos relationship in the context of pederasty, and not other types of male homosexual relationships (such as between two adult men of equal social status, even if this relationship was initially of the pederastic type).
Therefore, to end this fruitless debate (which should not even exist, if those who are uncomfortable here did not try to impose their modern sensibilities on a historical fact from over 2 thousand years ago) I propose to delete this entry, and not only for that reason, but also because there is already an entry "Pederasty in ancient Greece", which fully encompasses this subject. --Fábio Aquiles (talk) 17:58, 3 March 2025 (UTC)

The article is only partially true

This article presents a unilateral view of a multifaceted phenomenon. The role of the eromenos varied over time and from polis to polis. The mechanical aspect depicted here may or may not have been operative at any given time in any given place. It certainly was highly problematized in Classical Athens. I have been working on a complete rewrite including as much of the present material as possible, but reframed so it takes on the proper proportions, historically and culturally.
