Not vegan
[edit]Eric Roberts gave up being vegan in 2017 . I noticed the old references on the article have been removed by another user as they are unreliable. Psychologist Guy (talk) 22:06, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

...got his start... vs "acting debut"
[edit]What on earth is the difference between "He got his start..." and "His acting debut was..." ??? 47.14.77.193 (talk) 01:36, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
- One is ambiguous and the other is not. Οἶδα (talk) 16:34, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
Martial Arts Rank
[edit]Hello, I recently saw something regarding Eric's Martial Arts status, and I'm appalled that he was removed from Celebrity Taekwondo Practitioners List and I think y'all made a big mistake on that and I simply demand to know why? StarFeminizita87 (talk) 16:05, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- @StarFeminizita87: Is this not an issue that should be raised at the article you are discussing: List of taekwondo practitioners? Eric Roberts was removed by an IP editor in revision 1299250132. His entry was previously tagged as dubious by the user who created the article TrickShotFinn, with the following explanation: "While Eric Roberts has starred in two movies about Taekwondo, where he fights, there is no reliable source that he is actually a Taekwondo practitioner". Οἶδα (talk) 18:19, 15 October 2025 (UTC)
- It’s confirmed that Eric does train in Martial Arts, but he doesn’t not own any rank belts despite having Dojo experience with the Ju jitsu Sensei for almost 40 years. On the books He’s gotten far into Advanced Green in Taekwondo according to the actor himself. StarFeminizita87 (talk) 00:35, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
- In addition that he indeed learned Taekwondo from Simon Rhee. StarFeminizita87 (talk) 01:32, 16 October 2025 (UTC)

- I'm on same page with Οἶδα. If you have good enough citations, then add them. --TrickShotFinn (talk) 08:37, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
- And I'm ok with that. I just think y'all are not convinced with what I have. StarFeminizita87 (talk) 15:48, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
- And now you know why it was likely removed. Οἶδα (talk) 04:44, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
- I do understand but still doesn’t make it right to discredit this man. StarFeminizita87 (talk) 12:04, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
- Not giving voice to unreliable sources and not being a provider of original research is not discrediting. It is simply adhering to a standard of accuracy, neutrality and verifiability. There are plenty of webspaces for presenting this type of information. Wikipedia is not one of them. Οἶδα (talk) 22:04, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
- That's a shame child. even though I was telling y'all the truth seems like I'm the outsider here. StarFeminizita87 (talk) 19:45, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
- Please understand that not only is Wikipedia a reflection of what reliable sources tell us, but we must also ensure that the information presented in articles constitutes due weight, meaning that articles must represent all significant viewpoints that have been published by reliable sources, in proportion to the prominence of each viewpoint in the published, reliable sources. Not just include everything that might be true or interesting about a topic. It is rather obvious here just how little coverage Eric Roberts's martial arts rank has received within coverage of him in reliable sources. There are really plenty of truths about people that are not significantly discussed in reliable sources. But even if the information is accurate, without significant attention in reliable sources, it remains a minor detail, not a defining one. Because again, if reliable sources do not treat it as significant, neither do we. Οἶδα (talk) 20:26, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
