This was a reasonably informative though poorly referenced article, and has now been turned into a single-sentence stub. Frankly this verges on vandalism. I am reverting to the previous version, with a few edits to remove content inappropriate to an encyclopedia. Editorial remarks described this journalist in pejorative, editorializing terms and pointlessly identified his young daughters by name while omitting that he's married to a UN public relations professional. This information has been persistently added by disgruntled subjects of some of the the columns he has written over the years.
