Episomes can also be in prokaryotic cells and are defined as a DNA segment, that can both be free and integrated into a chromosome - in direct contradiction with the article.[1] Also, there doesn't seem to be a source for the definition (only for the gene therapy). Therefore, I have marked the page as containing incorrect information.

Epigenetic silencing - text is inconsistent?

The page feels self-contradictory as it starts by saying episomes are not epigenetically silenced, and soon thereafter goes on to say that the number of CpG sites will determine the amount of epigenetic silencing. Terrycojones (talk) 20:22, 27 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
