Usage

[edit]

Mitigation is a widely used term in the United Kingdom with respect to the environment. I suspect it is used in the same way in other countries where the English-language is widely used. Google ngrams show the term "environmental mitigation" taking off in the American English corpus before in the British English corpus. Semudobia (talk) 10:49, 3 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Changes to the article

[edit]

Hi all, I have made changes to the article to reflect the expansion of the concept environmental mitigation beyond just the United States and that it is related to, but not synonymous with mitigation banking and compensatory mitigation. I have plans to expand the sections to introduce a more worldwide view of environmental mitigation. I also plan on changing the section names from 'Advantages' and 'Disadvantages' Manxshearwater (talk) 15:30, 2 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
