End of enhanced cooperation
[edit]As far as I can see the article does not say anything about what happens if all member states eventually join an enhanced cooperation. Can the enhanced cooperation then be fully integrated into the Union law again? This is an important question, since enhanced cooperations are not part of the Union acquis that acceeding states are obliged to join. Does anyone know what would happen for instance if both Spain and Croatia joined the enhanced cooperation on unitary patent? --Glentamara (talk) 09:40, 3 October 2015 (UTC)

- As far as I can see the primary law does not address this issue. Perhaps the legislation has to be re-adopted (as an integrated part of the Union law) and the enhanced cooperation repealed, but from my point of view it sounds a bit odd if that's really the case. In any case, I think it's strange if the enhanced cooperation continues to exist after all member states have joined in. The goal of the enhanced cooperations is that some member states can go ahead if other member states block a decision. But if all member states at some later point agree, the most natural thing would be to use the normal procedures again. It is a particularly important question for acceeding states since enhanced cooperations are not compulsory for new member states to adopt. I guess we'll have to leave out this issue in the article until it eventually happens in reality. --Glentamara (talk) 20:50, 3 October 2015 (UTC)

European Defence Cooperation

- I fully agree. But the name should probably be Permanent Structured Cooperation, since European defence cooperation can refer to other things as well.
- Bytheway, it is very strange that this article about enhanced cooperation includes lots of other things that have nothing to do with enhanced cooperations, for instance, Pesco. Is it Wikipedia's own extention of the concept 'Enhanced cooperation' or is it a mistake? --Glentamara (talk) 16:03, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
