Some observations: EFATO/EFOTO. The critical speed for aborting T/O is V1 and NOT Vr. Aborting after V1 will likely result in the A/C over-running the runway. Post V1 the failed engine will continue into the air unless there is a very serious problem where the ground is the safest place e.g. like on British Airtours 28M (where maybe the ground isn't the safest place after all!). Another observation is that "how to" tips shouldn't be given in an encyclopedia re. procedures for responding to EFATO. The PFM/Checklist is THE reference guide and so I would recommend deleting procedural information as WP is not a training manual. 92.3.235.109 (talk) 16:32, 8 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
