[edit]

I’ve never edited a Wikipedia entry, and was wondering if anyone interested in the ESB article is aware of the building’s use in a cult television series of the early 1960s, and if something like the following would be an appropriate addition. I don’t know if Wikipedia still accepts “In Popular Culture” references:

The building’s exceptional futurism made it attractive to the producers of Space Patrol, the cult 1962 sci-fi television series set in the year 2100. An extreme low-angle view of the Empress from street level appeared in many episodes as an establishing shot, introducing the laboratory of the principal boffin, Professor Haggarty, which was apparently located somewhere within the Empress. This was a rare “real world” view in a program otherwise composed of puppetry, miniature sets and models, and brief animations. Skiamorph (talk) 16:55, 8 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
