- Defending AGAINST the "ember attack" is part of a bushfire defense strategy. Also note that it is not defending bushfires, but defending AGAINST bushfires. Roidroid --- (talk) 11:04, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Disambiguation
[edit]It seems like a disambiguation page should be created, as the "see other" section at the top is quite a bit longer than it needs to be. Merge with Smouldering?
[edit]This article covers the same phenomenon as the Smouldering page. I don't see the value of having separate, less complete articles on the same thing. GBMorris (talk) 11:42, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
- Well, they are not the same thing (an ember is a material object, while smouldering is a process, and either can exist independent of other); therefore, if the two articles contain largely the same amount of material, then the articles need to be improved, not merged. Clarification on "Sparks"
[edit]Should the clarification that sparks are airborne embers occur earlier in the article? The image of a bushfire with "embers" flying off seems confusing without this context. YellowBlack (talk) 03:07, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
- Done. (I've reworded the caption; it was improper usage anyway: sparks are not called embers. It would be like having a picture of a snow storm that's captioned "ice cubes falling from the sky"). ;) Firejuggler86 (talk) 21:19, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
