Named after a writer?

I've only just discovered that one of the writers on Holby is called Elliot Hope.

I assume Prof Hope is named after him, but have no evidence of this. 82.112.151.178 (talk) 19:34, 5 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

It's actually just a coincidence that the writer and character share the same name. The character was never named after the writer. ElectrodeandtheAnode (talk) 14:50, 30 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
