Trump comments

[edit]

Why remove the part about him threatening to have Donald Trump executed? They weren't taking anything out of context, that's what he said. Ryanisbetter (talk) 08:11, 28 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

The previous article stated, "...[Forhan] threatened to execute President Donald Trump". Which is a true statement, but can lead readers to varying conclusions of extra-judicial vs. judicial homicide. The new change clarifies that Forhan does intent to be responsible for a hypothetical killing of President Trump, but distinguishes the intent to remain within the bounds of the law. An important distinction for readers.
However, on review, I could see good reason to include Forhan's statement, "...resulting in a sentence, duly executed, of capitol punishment." As this quote equally clarifies. ~2026-61892-4 (talk) 23:34, 28 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
I agree that it should specify that he said he intends to go through the proper legal channels to do this but removing it entirely just feels too close to POV/whitewashing. Ryanisbetter (talk) 07:23, 29 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
