Since this is a notable page, and some of the edits I am making are substantial, I have created a talk page. Let me know if there are any issues with my edits.
Redoing lead section: The current lead is quite dense, and presents a lot of information that is covered later on. Looking at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section, I've moved a lot of the detail to the later sections and focussed on a more concise summary. I may have been over zealous with brevity, so please let me know if it would be better to include a little more detail.
Early life and education: Folded in a lot of content from the lead (much of it was duplicate. Streamlined and reordered some sentences for brevity/clarity.
Public life: Renamed to "Environmental activism and legal career", I think it more accurately describes the content of the section. Folded in content from the lead section. Added sub-headings to ease reading. Removed citation needed claim re:sierra club controversy as it had been there for 10 years.

Not done: per WP:SUBCAT, as the article is already included in Category:Canadian environmental lawyers, which is a subcategory of that category. Day Creature (talk) 06:21, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
