I think that this articule should not be in the foundation characters category, Elijah only appears in the robot series novels. --- The Robot novels are a direct tie-in to foundation and as such should stay

Elijah appears in the RObot novels, which have been tied into the FOundation universe by the inclusion of R. Daneel Olivaw. The Foundation universe also includes the Empire series, because of tie-ins to both the Foundation series and the Robot series.--Azathar 04:41, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Like Sherlock Holmes, he is a pipe-smoker - a habit he fights against in The Robots of Dawn.

Hero?

Why does he become a 'legendary hero for millennia'? What did he do to become famous? Article only mentions him being a policeman and solving like 3 murders.--2A03:1B20:3:F011:0:0:0:5D (talk) 12:34, 17 June 2019 (UTC)

Baley's fear of declassification is a recurring theme

In the same way, Baley's intense shame at his father's declassification and the resulting deprivations of his childhood are not referred to in succeeding novels.

I believe this is misleading since not only in Caves of Steel, but also in the other books, he comes back to the idea that not taking up an assignment would end up in declassification and so would be bad for himself and his family. For example at the beginning of Naked Sun when he considers refusing the assignment outside Earth but reminds himself of the risk of declassification. 93.66.82.81 (talk) 07:35, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
