Elbegast in Eddic texts

[edit]

I find no mention in either the Poetic Edda or Snorri's Prose Edda of Elbegast, Alegast or Elegast.

The Dvergatal in Vǫluspá, the most likely candidate for a mention, lists three dwarfs whose names include the name element Alf (Elf); Alfr, Gandalfr and Vindalfr, but none of those are a close match.

I suggest to remove this line. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:A210:A740:CC00:1CA9:B057:BBD9:188 (talk) 15:52, 26 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
