[edit]

Just checking in before doing an editing pass- thanks to sami for getting the ball rolling.

Anyone interested in the editing page is welcomed to read the thread here on the Electra forum where we're going on about it.

http://www.rivercityamps.com/electraforum/viewtopic.php?p=17587#17587

Here's the short version:

Electra was a brand of japanese imported guitars in the 70's and 80's, now popular among collectors today. I'm the guy who's currently site owner of the Electra fan site, both the models info pages and the forums. We have a lively community with new models and surprises and treasues appearing.

We're at present producing a new version of the site to allow comments to users can upload their own pictures and information on all the models. Everything we know is because people have contributed their piece of the puzzle, and we're close to getting it all accessible.

Once that's done we can start publishing articles describing what we're finding- trends etc. The puzzle-attraction of Electra is that all other brands came from one source, one factory (Ibanez at Fujigen, for example) whereas Electras were ordered from all the distributors. The fun for us collectors is puzzling out by details who made what.

So I'll try to help by making an accurate summary in the edit here. There's many more details that could be added, but that I think should wait until we have supporting articles to cite. PaulclarkX189 (talk) 11:42, 7 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

ok, jsut completed a first editing pass. I've corrected the external links and sources and will see about getting more. Not sure about how much footnoting to sources is suggested or required.

thanks! PaulclarkX189 (talk) 11:42, 7 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
