The great auk article suggests 3rd July 1844, but this article suggests 4th June 1844. Can anyone please come up with a source for this? DavidFarmbrough 12:27, 17 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes so this article had it almost right at one stage - was about 3rd June 1844 ...see Talk:Great auk for the dangers of the internet before we had AI. ChaseKiwi (talk) 20:22, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
