Elaters in slime molds?

[edit]

This page states that elaters are only in plants with spores, but I came here from the slime mold page which had image text stating "Metatrichia vesparium has small round sporangia that have spiral elaters to eject their lids and disperse their spores.[22]"

I don't know anything about this topic so I don't know if an edit should just say that elaters are involved in plants and (some?) slime molds with spores, but an edit away from saying "only plants" might be in order.

Sorry I hope the talk page is ok for this; I don't really know protocol for suggesting an edit be made Nyallwoven (talk) 00:37, 18 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
