This article makes the claim, supported by an otherwise reliable source, that in 1983 Wainwright made a speech in the House of Commons that was so incoherent that instead of being recorded verbatim, it simply went down in Hansard as "Mr. Wainwright made a number of observations." I cannot find this passage anywhere in Hansard. A Google search for "Mr. Wainwright made a number of observations." returns no results other than articles in various sources supposedly recounting the Hansard passage. Searching for "made a number of observations" in Historic Hansard returns several pages of results, but none of them refer to Wainwright. I will try and get my hands on a copy of the book "Order, Order"", referred to in this article, but unless this claim can be substantiated directly from Hansard, I suggest it is removed. ninety:one12:56, 7 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
