Form of name?

[edit]

Is the name William Edward Cox or Edward William Cox? Other sources all seem to use the latter, e.g. Illustrated London News 1879; Oxford Dictionary of National Biography; preliminary pages of Crockford's Clerical Directory; Wikipedia, etc. Black Combe (talk) 19:51, 7 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

I see that he is referred to as E.W. or Edward W. in Hall, Trevor H. (1963). The spiritualists: the story of Florence Cook and William Crookes. Helix Press. Cusop Dingle (talk) 22:10, 7 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thira of the Cairn Branch

[edit]

This title doesn't seem to exist. I think it may be a mistake for Thira; or, the Cairn Braich, published in 1879, but there seems no reference that support it having been written by Cox. Cusop Dingle (talk) 19:56, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
