New section on symmetric equation

[edit]

I'll remove the section for the following reasons

  • Not sourced
  • No indication of what is due to Waring
  • In particular, the expression of sums of nth powers of two variables in term of their sums and product is a special case of Newton's identities. Thus Waring can certainly not be credited for them, even if it may have rediscover them independently.
  • Otherwise, there is nothing but an example in this new section

Nevertheless there are much more to say about symmetric systems of equations, but this article is not the place for that. D.Lazard (talk) 12:47, 17 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
