Requested update to lead and career (COI disclosure)

[edit]

Hello, I am Edgar Lau, the subject of this article. Because of my conflict of interest, I am not editing directly, but I would like to request an update to bring the page current and properly sourced. I’ve provided reliable references for each change. Please let me know if you need further clarification.

Proposed changes

[edit]
  • **Lead section (replace entirely with):**

Edgar Lau Shek Fai (born 2 April 1991) is a Hong Kong racing driver who has competed internationally in touring cars, GT and endurance racing. He set the fastest lap in Race 1 at the 2016 Guia Race of Macau in the TCR International Series, has been a multi-class champion in the United States Touring Car Championship, and won his class at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill in 2014. Lau has also raced in the Asian Le Mans Series Sprint Cup, earned a podium in the GT4 America Series in 2022 with a Ford Mustang GT4, and in 2025 joined the Italian GT Championship Sprint series in the GT3 Pro-Am category with Imperiale Racing.

  • **Infobox**
 - Update current series to the 2025 Italian GT Championship (Sprint – GT3 Pro-Am with Imperiale Racing).
 - Remove outdated note about “currently in TCR International Series.”
  • **Racing career section**
 - Expand 2016 Macau Guia Race note: mention fastest lap in Race 1, with P9 and P13 finishes.
 - Add 2014 Thunderhill E3 class win with Mazda Miata.
 - Add multi-class USTCC championships with AR-G Motorsports.
 - Add **GT4 America 2022 subsection** (see below).
 - Add Italian GT 2025 Sprint entry with Imperiale Racing (Huracán GT3 Evo2, Pro-Am).

New subsection: GT4 America (2022)

[edit]

In 2022, Lau joined the Pirelli GT4 America Series in the Pro-Am class with ARG/Rotek Racing, driving a Ford Mustang GT4 alongside several co-drivers.

  • Sonoma (April 17): Qualifying P25/P25. Race results: 6th (Race 1, with Billy Johnson), 24th (Race 2).
  • VIR (June 19): Qualifying P11/P6. Race results: 7th (Race 1, with Mike Skeen), 28th (Race 2).
  • Watkins Glen (July 24): Qualifying P8/P5. Results: DNF (Race 1, puncture), 3rd (Race 2, with Billy Johnson).
  • Road America (Aug 21): Qualifying P19/P20. Results: 18th (Race 1), 27th (Race 2, with Jaden Conwright).
  • Indianapolis 8 Hour (Oct 9): Qualifying P32/P32. Results: 18th (Race 1), 19th (Race 2, with Jaden Conwright).
