Appearances

• Edea first appears in the PlayStation video game Final Fantasy VIII. - I would probably suggest being a little more specific and calling it a PlayStation role-playing video game.
• This section uses some FF-specific terms without defining them first: What or who are Galbadia, SeeD, Squall? Rinoa appears to be a person, what does it mean when it says that they are "taken over"? I assume it's mind control again, but it's not clear.

Reception

• Her outfit was praised by website staffs - it is clear that it's the websites' staff who wrote this, so I would probably just straight-up say it was praised by "publications including [A, B]"
• I'm unsure about the "particularly her breasts" bit, and would probably prefer to just describe her as attractive.

– Her WP:COMMONNAME is simply Edea and the musical group does not appear to possess the same pageviews or significance. Edéa can remain where it is due to WP:SMALLDETAILS. In fact, even if it is disambiguated, I am kind of doubtful she should be called by her full, highly obscure name. In this case, the diacriticless form that is ambiguous here is Edea, Cameroon, and a long-term significance comparison is appropriate despite the small details. More importantly, though, the usage isn't really there. WikiNav view of clickstreams shows so little traffic that it can't even render the first graph, and there's only 28 filtered clickstreams. All-time mass views shows the averages at 19, 7, 4, 0. Sure, 19.x > 11.x, but it's both so tiny, we shouldn't be choosing primary topics with this level of readership. If you want to fix the naming issue with the character article, by all means, go ahead, but there's little point in combining it with a far more complex primary topic discussion. --Joy (talk) 07:48, 25 August 2026 (UTC)

• Oppose I feel too some of these are starting to get a bit overzealous too Zx. In Edea's case, perhaps Edea (Final Fantasy) may work better, but the Final Fantasy series as a whole is pretty well known for using full names in marketing and whatnot frequently. Personally I'd rather keep with a character's full name in this case for consistency with that in mind.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 14:35, 25 August 2026 (UTC)
• Oppose. Kung Fu Man have summarised what needs to be said. Don't agree with the mononym being the definite primary topic, needless likely disambiguation with "(Final Fantasy)" as an alternative to the character's full name. Haleth (talk) 11:27, 26 August 2026 (UTC)
