203.97.190.122 (talk) 22:09, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Site originally indicated eddy-current testing as useful for non-conductive materials. The NDT/NDE site shown in the links clearly states that only conductive materials can be tested by this method. Page http://www.ndt-ed.org/EducationResources/CommunityCollege/EddyCurrents/Applications/thicknessmeasurements2.htm of that site discusses method for measuring thickness of non conductive coatings on conductive materials. Thickness of non conductive materials can also be measured by using a conductive dolly for the eddy currents. Gdmsmith 20:54, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Alternating current field measurement appears to be discussing the same process under a name that is not very common. Ahything unique should be merged from that article. --Wtshymanski (talk) 21:52, 26 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Video on D-PEC

[edit]

Please note that this animated video contains informational content on the process of pulsed eddy-current inspection as well as information on the D-annulus level of a platform. The content is not promotional and the link to www.youtube.com is the original link to the informational content. Could you please consider and revert your edit? Many thanks in advance. - Esperanza Palto talk —Preceding undated comment added 15:18, 4 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Concerns were raised previously by TheActinideChemist via tag about AI-generated content in this article, which is prohibited per WP:NOLLM. This is a procedural talk page section to discuss it. There is no need to ping me in response. Read WP:AISIGNS for more information for why this is tagged; however, note that fixing the issue requires more than just changing the superficial signs.
