Benedict is dead

[edit]

Another Wikipedian altered this article to state that Benedict was still alive, as per a retraction on the Cartoon Brew website. Closer reading of the retraction will reveal that CB was correcting information on a photo alledged to be Benedict. The photo was of Don Duga. Duga is alive; Benedict is not. Several other sources, among them Animation World News, have also reported his death.Konczewski 20:00, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

But when exactly? The article shows two dates (28 Aug, 10 Sept) and BBC radio has just announced his death this morning (11 October) for some reason! Ndaisley 07:14, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Changed

[edit]

I made the change of date to his death. I edited it to be August 28. 2006 as that is what was reported in the news online.

It's August 28th

[edit]

The LA Times (http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/wire/sns-ap-obit-benedict,1,7082990.story?coll=sns-ap-nation-headlines&ctrack=1&cset=true) confirmed in Benedict's obituary that he died on August 28th. It was reported by a close friend of Benedict's. The report of his death did not reach the media until 10/10, which is probably why the BBC did not report anything until then.
