Looking at references 107 & 109, the monthly values seem to be all correctly transcribed, selecting the lesser value for each month, but the 1954-Jun overall minimum is not included, instead using the 7.0C minimum from reference 109. Mike Pitts book Island at the Edge of the World, disputes many of the historical assertions here as having no evidence and sites counter examples. There appears to be a lot of myths, and inaccurate speculation here.
