Uncertainties

[edit]

Two things: First, a lot of accounts say that EH was stuck on top of the canal turn and that's what caused the 1928 pile-up. Nearly all the contemporary sources however, say that he landed on top of the fence and then slid back into the ditch, and that's the version I've gone with. Secondly, it isn't at all clear where the "twisted plate" got twisted in 1929. I've read accounts that put it as early as 2nd Valentine's or as late as the 2nd last. Tigerboy1966  14:13, 25 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

BTW I wonder if it's too late to make this an Easter-themed DYK. Tigerboy1966  14:16, 25 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

I reckon it probably is - but the Grand National is on 9th April, so how about requesting it for that day? QPQ still needs doing, once that is done I'll give it the tick for DYK. --Bcp67 (talk) 07:49, 26 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
