So what were the actual updates made?
[edit]world be nice if it said what specifically they changed or even just to what standard they are all now built. I don't see anything like that, just an exhaustive list of what models from which roads were "updated". How? New prime movers? New motors? Digital controls? Modern trucks? Burlington Northern GP10s
[edit]According to RR Picture Archives, Burlington Northern also had GP10s. That site says they were rebuilt in 1974–5 from locomotives inherited from the Great Northern, plus one from the CB&Q and two from Northern Pacific. So these don't seem to be part of the Illinois Central rebuild programme: at least, the article doesn't mention any rebuilding of locomotives from those railroads.
