Freight-style??

Please reveal what this means. It cannot mean a hood locomotive, since cowl and cab unit locomotives also engaged in hauling freight, while plenty of hood locomotives hauled and still haul passenger trains, as well as hood, cowl and cab units operate(d) in dual service.
