notability

[edit]

I believe this band fulfills the following notability criterion:

5. Has released two or more albums on a major record label or on one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years, and with a roster of performers, many of whom are independently notable).

They have released 13 studio albums, 8 of which were re-released by the German indie label Major Label (founded 1998, currently still in business, has released albums from other notable bands).

Since 2016, when a previous wikipedia article was deleted, EA80 has been discussed in two books on German punk culture and music, which are also independent of the band. They have been reviewed and interviewed multiple times by Ox Fanzine, a well-known magazine associated with German punk, as well as the TAZ, a national-level news and entertainment magazine in Germany. They have been reviewed by Maximum Rocknroll, which demonstrates international recognition. Since this is a German punk band from the 1980s, that is a lot of press.

I would welcome any suggestions, contributions, or advice. Snowflakedivertor (talk) 11:17, 6 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
