| The content of Carcathiocerta was merged into Eğil on 25 April 2026. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists. For the discussion at that location, see its talk page. |
| This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Eğil article. This is not a forum for general discussion of the subject of the article. |

Merge
[edit]Same place, different names. See here. Splitting our coverage like this only makes it difficult to get readers to the right article. On top of that, there is Angeghtun, which is almost the same thing again. Srnec (talk) 23:52, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
- I'm not sure whether this is necessary or advisable, especially if it problematizes searching. The ancient site of Carcathiocerta is next to Eğil (whose name derives from its later name Ingila), but still distinct from it, being located on a rocky plateau that is abandoned as far as human habitation is concerned. - @StefThrax: Ingila redirects to Carcathiocerta. It also isn't a later name if it's the Hittite Ingilawa. Srnec (talk) 20:30, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
