Removal of gender disphoria?

[edit]

Who do we feel about this diff? I think the removal seems unjustified but it does raise the question of whether this content is in the correct location within the article or whether there are any other specific types of disphoria that should also be covered alongside this. Thoughts? DanielRigal (talk) 10:21, 28 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand why gender dysphoria is mentioned as a separate paragraph, while other explicitly dysphoric disorders such as premenstrual dysphoric disorder or body dysmorphic disorder are not given their own paragraph. What is the significant difference between the 3 dysphoric disorders that only gender dysphoria is explicitly mentioned as a separate paragraph?
I therefore cannot understand your revert and would make the change again. There is no logical explanation for explicitly mentioning GD. WikiHelper232 (talk) 16:31, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
We should add paragraphs about other dysphoric conditions. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 16:37, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
So explicitly dysphoric disorders with their own paragraphs in the article as in the GD and rather symptomatic dysphorias in the lower list, where only the name is mentioned?
Otherwise the article would be far too long and too detailed. WikiHelper232 (talk) 16:45, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
That would be reasonable. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 16:48, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
I have now added a few paragraphs on specific dysphoric disorders. I will probably add the body dysmorphic disorder later too, which also cause significant distress. WikiHelper232 (talk) 17:57, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Please can somebody check this edit?

[edit]

I am unsure as to whether this edit should be reverted? It seems to add content of dubious relevance but maybe I am missing something? DanielRigal (talk) 12:07, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

As it was completely unsourced, I reverted it. I believe the editor means well but I think in a scientific/medical article like this, sources are a must. Fred Zepelin (talk) 18:47, 21 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
