How does it compare to the wings on the ACx (AC72/50) class boats?
[edit]Anyone know the pros and cons vs the sails that the cup yachts use?74.96.220.27 (talk) 23:43, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
Accuracy of operational description
[edit]The text of the operational description has this: "When fully deployed, the sails on each mast have no gaps between them, creating a single panel to capture the wind." This is misleading. Every sail on the mast unfurls from within the mast along the spars. The general practice is to unfurl all sails on a mast to the same width. As such they form a single panel no matter whether they are fully deployed or not. Special situations may alter the number of sails on a mast that are deployed, but there will always be a continuous panel. I am not qualified to augment this description, but someone should. Also note that the text has been cloned into descriptions of ships that use it "Black Pearl" "Maltese Falcon" etc ~2026-77990 (talk) 23:56, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
