The article mentions in the lead (and presents in the external links section) a "recent article" by "Amith Vikram D" who should be a reliable source, only the content of that article, itself, does not seem reliable. WP:Notability would suggest that that article's mention of "Bhagavan Krishnadvaipayana Vedavyas" would be productive, but that google search shows nothing but Amith's Facebook page. It is therefore is not reliable. Could the "reliable source" contain a misspelling?
The reference to the Hindu concept of Dvipa which I added does not mention the attributions to modern contentinents. In fact it mentions that the seven Dvipas are mythological, spheres ala Ptolomy. My point is that the content of this article seems to violate the no original research rule. — CpiralCpiral 00:11, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
The seven continents
[edit]To my knowledge, none of the Hindu texts offer reliable references to the seven continents of the earth or any of their regions outside South Asia: The Indian subcontinent is credibly referenced as Jambudvipa. I have removed references to the earth's continents from this article, on the basis that it is regarding Hindu mythology rather than geography, and also because none of the offered sources fell under WP:RS.
