Just pointing out

[edit]

As a native who has minor knowledge of my own mother tongue, I am unable to confirm which dialect the Genesis text is in. May someone help with this? Might be best to suit the text to the Bundu-Liwan dialect, seeing that it is the official one.

Some lexical terms have already fallen out of contemporary use (especially the months and days, which I've certainly never heard my relatives use), just to point out.

Kadazan has some phonological differences from Dusun, to a point where some might call it a whole different language entirely (this is mostly politics though, as far as I am concerned). Mind someone adding the Kadazan versions of the lexical terms? (I will add "sizam" for "siam", because that's the only difference I know.)

Do we actually have evidence that Bundu-Liwan is the most intelligible with all of the Dusun-Kadazan dialects? We can't only rely on claims.

Also, why do we need to compare the terms with the Malaysian language? I don't seem to grasp the purpose.

Dusun languageKadazandusun language – Kadazandusun is the common name for dtp and used by the community and institutions. Even SIL has renamed the name of the language from Central Dusun to Kadazandusun. -- TofeikuChat 10:05, 3 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
