Bounce?

This article indicates that balls do not bounce as high on clay courts, while the article Tennis Courts seems to indicate the opposite. I have never actually played on a clay court, so I can't remedy this situation, but if someone could clear it up, that would be great. MrCheshire 17:26, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

You're right, balls on clay courts bounce higher than other courts (see for example tables at ). The real reason drop shots are common on clay courts is that many clay court court players are baseliners who often hang several feet behind the baseline, making it hard for them to cover the distance to the net to retrieve a drop shot. vanished History-section restored

Well - the above comment by User:Hayford_Peirce made me wonder where Bobby Riggs (or Andre Agassi) might have gone into hiding. As my search in the present gave no results, I boldly decidied to go back in time to this memorable autumn of '08 (when that comment was done) and it was really successfull; I uncovered a whole new History-section.

Further research convinced me that it's disappearance was obviously an act of well disguised vandalism: First an IP-User replaced the whole section with the term ‘blah blah blah’ and then covered up his vandalism by removing just the ‘blah blah blah’ under the identity of User:Usethefame (who has only this single edit on his account). So I decided to restore the whole section from the last version, which is definitely untampered with. -- 83.65.195.12 (talk) 10:03, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Nadal drop shot

Who wrote that? Nadal hardly ever uses the drop shot... he is nearly always way behind the baseline and playing all-out moonballing rallies. He is also terrible at drop shots.

Badminton: Confused & confusing wording

"They also should be able to, if the opponent hits it, it will give you the mid and back-court space to exploit." I posit that this is certainly not an English sentence, since each part of this period has a different grammatical subject and is going in a different direction. As I am not acquainted with Badminton, I have no idea what these words are meant to purport. Could a knowledgeable person please clean up this mess of a passage?
