The claim that Robert McCausland married William Conolly's daughter is totally bogus - William Conolly never had a daughter, and McCausland's wife was Hannah Moore, daughter of William Moore. Instead McCausland was left Drenach in Conolly's will. see here Robert McCausland was Conolly's land agent in Derry, and it is through that connection that he inherited Drenagh - see The Making of the Irish Protestant Ascendancy: The Life of William Conolly, by Patrick Walsh, p73 Zythophile (talk) 09:29, 5 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
