The Hilltoppers correction

Article states: Dot's first major pop act was The Hilltoppers, whose hits included "P.S. I Love You" and "Trying"; when lead singer Billy Vaughn hit #2 with a revival of Wayne King's "Melody of Love", he left the group to become the label's main musical director.[1]

Billy Vaughn was never a singer. He was the piano accompanist for The Hilltoppers, and "Melody of Love" was an instrumental hit.Pinikadia (talk) 13:55, 9 May 2026 (UTC)

Correcting my own correction: Billy Vaughn did sing with The Hilltoppers, in addition to playing piano, Bur he was not the "lead sibnger;" that was Jimmy Sacca.Pinikadia (talk) 14:04, 9 May 2026 (UTC)

Hamilton Records

The article states that Hamilton was formed as a Rock/R&B subsidiary. The published catalog would seem to contradict this. Does anyone have a source for this statement? Certainly by the mid-60s it was a budget subsidiary. 78.26 (I'm no IP, talk to me!) 19:57, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
