The introduction of Sterling currency to Dominica

[edit]

I have two conflicting sources. One says that sterling was introduced to Dominica in 1842 and the other says that it was introduced in 1862. The year 1842 seems more likely as it is closer to the corresponding dates for the other Eastern Carribean territories. The source which says 1842 even gives a day and a month. However, the person that originally wrote this article has used the date 1862. Perhaps he has seen the source that I also saw that uses 1862.

I'll use the date 1842 until such times as somebody with definite knowledge might make the necessary correction. David Tombe (talk) 14:31, 11 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
